meltémi is the magic base of this fresh and flavorful dip that uses the herbs you will find in every Greek garden in the summertime. It comes together in just minutes and is lower in fat and calories than sour cream or mayonnaise based dips.
1 cup plain 0% or 5% meltémi Greek Yogurt
1 tablespoon minced green onion (white and light green parts only)
3 tablespoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon thinly-sliced fresh basil
1 teaspoon sherry vinegar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
Fresh vegetables, crackers, chips and pita bread for dipping
In a small bowl, whisk meltémi Greek Yogurt and the rest of the ingredients together except for the salt and pepper.
Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding salt and pepper to taste.
For best results, chill the dip in the refrigerator before serving.
Leftover dip can be kept covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
